Musical entertainment for the Bloomin’ Bluegrass Festival is managed by the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 organization whose mission is to preserve the heritage of bluegrass music in America and to promote bluegrass music in Texas.
In addition to presenting live musical performances, workshops, and outreach, the Foundation operates the Play It Forward! Instrument Lending Program. The program helps foster musical skills in deserving young people by providing free loans of bluegrass musical instruments such as mandolins, fiddles, banjos, and guitars. If you know a young person who wants to learn and needs an instrument, or if you would like to donate cash or an instrument, please contact the Foundation today!
Be sure and stop by the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation tent that’s next to the main stage. Learn more about the organization and how to support its musical outreach program, and while you’re there check out the festival merchandise including hats, t-shirts, and posters.
And don’t forget to register for the annual raffle, there’s also autographed sports memorabilia, bluegrass music memorabilia, framed equestrian artwork, and much more!
